A series of operable partitions were introduced to maintain visual clarity and conceal existing elements such as doors, windows, and the newly integrated pantry. These partitions can be opened to enable natural cross-ventilation from the preserved windows when needed. Wrapped in delicate matte silver wallpaper, the panels form a subtle artistic backdrop, enhanced by soft concealed lighting that highlights their refined texture. Particular attention was devoted to detailing—each operable panel and sliding door is custom-designed for its specific location, and all corners are rounded as per the owner’s request to ensure safety within the compact environment.

In contrast to the main living area, the powder room and bathroom express a more playful character. Bright mosaic tiles sweep across the curved walls, complemented by a brass-trimmed mirror, creating a refined blend of vintage charm and exclusivity.

Overall, the design offers a warm, neutral, and intergenerational living environment—one that harmoniously receives treasured furniture and art while supporting flexible, functional use for both the owner and her son.
