Living along canals

Program:  Private Residence

Client:  -

Size:  8,900  Sq.m.

Scope: Architectural & Landscape Design

Status:  Design Proposal

Set in a provincial Thai town, this private residence is conceived for a multi-generational family to live closely yet comfortably within a green, nature-integrated environment.

Inspired by traditional Asian canal-side (Klong) living, the design abstracts garden terraces on every two floors, interspersed with water features. These gardens offer visual greenery mapping over city views - seen either through expansive glass façades or between cantilevered glass boxes, creating layered perspectives and spatial depth.

Beyond visual appeal, the greenery enhances privacy, provides natural shading, and softens the building’s presence, acting as a living veil that fosters a harmonious balance between openness and seclusion.
